CHICKASHA – After scoring all three goals in a comeback overtime win over Oklahoma City, Perry Sansford was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the Sooner Athletic Conference.

While he is sharing the honor with Roger State’s Necas Collins, Sansford will be the conference’s nominee for the National Player of the Week.

On Friday night at OCU, the Drovers were down 2-0 in the second half when Sansford scored three unanswered goals, the final one in the 97th minute in overtime, to give the Drovers the win.

Thanks to Sansford, USAO was able to hold on to its undefeated status. The Drovers are one of only three teams still undefeated.

Additionally, Sansford is the team’s leading scorer, knocking in 14 goals in 13 games of the season. He has scored 26 goals in two seasons at USAO.

Sansford leads the conference and comes in 13th in the nation in total goals. Also, with four game-winners already on the season, he ranks 11th in the nation in game-winners.

Sansford is a physical education junior from Colchester, England. He is the son of Perry and Ordelia Sansford.
