CHICKASHA – The Drovers had a rough game on their hands Sunday afternoon with Our Lady of the Lake, a team that is receiving votes in the NAIA national poll.

The struggle led to the Drovers’ (1-1) first loss in the regular season in two years.

Our Lady of the Lake University beat the Drovers 2-1 in the 93rd minute of the game off a goal just inside the penalty box. OLLU’s Giovani Serria scored the goal off an assist by Elias Cortes. Serria was the leading shooter for the Saints in the game.

It was a defensive battle for most of the game as neither team took many shots in the first half. The Drovers had three shots in the half.

Nat Scott, junior from England, notched his first goal of the 2013 season off an assist from Liam Madden to tie the game before the first half ended.

The second half went scoreless and the game was forced into overtime where the Saints came out on top.

The Drover’s next game is set for 3 p.m. Sept. 5 against UT-Brownsville. It will be USAO’s home opener.

It will also be the first game USAO will broadcast live via live streaming on the school’s athletic site.
