CHICKASHA – The Drover men continue to make history each year, coming in at the end of the regular season this year undefeated for the first time and take yet another Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title.

It is also the second time the Drovers (13-0-3, 7-0-1) have ended without suffering a conference loss.

The Drovers, still ranked third in the NAIA, will host eighth-seed Oklahoma City in the first round at noon Saturday.

Earlier this season at OCU, the Drovers found themselves down 2-0 when Perry Sansford went on to score a hat trick to give the Drovers a win in overtime. It was the Stars who snapped USAO’s 10-game shutout streak.

The Drovers have the opportunity to host throughout the tournament. If they win, they will play Tuesday afternoon against the winner of the John Brown at Mid-America Christian game.

The conference championship will take place on Friday. The winner of the tournament automatically will receive an invitation to the NAIA National Tournament, but USAO still sitting at third in the country, it is likely the Drovers will earn a bid regardless.
