CHICKASHA – The soccer men thought their season was over, but then they received word that they would be heading to the NAIA Men’s Soccer Championship tournament, which was particularly exciting for seniors like Jack Norman.

“It really was a good season. It started off a little bit slower than we would have hoped to, but then we got into gear and stuff,” Norman said. “It was really good to get to go to the National Tournament. It’s something we’ve wanted to do.”

The Drovers won their first two tournament games before falling the in the quarterfinals.

“It was kind of bittersweet that day because we were so excited to get to the elite eight and make history for the school,” he said. “It was hard at the end of the night to eventually lose it. But that’s just the way soccer goes sometimes.”

Norman, of Livingston, Scotland, plans to graduate in April with a physical education degree. He wants to return home and become a soccer coach.
