The Drover led the first game in the beginning of the fifth after scoring four runs in the fourth inning and shutting out the Lady Chaps. USAO’s lead fell apart, however, when the Drovers gave up 10 runs in the fifth inning.

Both teams scored two in the final inning of the game, bringing the final score to a 12-6 Drover loss.

The Drovers has a similar story in the second game of the doubleheader. After giving up two runs in the first inning, the Drovers didn’t allow another run in the next four innings and tied the game in the bottom of the fifth.

The team then gave up seven runs in the sixth inning and lost the second game 9-2.

Weger continued the success she had in the first game and went two-for-three with an RBI in the second game.

Junior Ashley Sanders had a hit and scored a run as well. Freshman Tashina Ototivo scored the other run for USAO after coming in as a pinch runner.

Ashlyn Kimberly pitched most of the first game and threw four strikeouts. Felicia Gourley came in as a reliever and allowed only one hit in her 1.1 innings in the circle.

The Drovers fall to 12-32 overall. They will take on Oklahoma Christian this Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. before heading home to play Mid-America Christian on April 26.
