It wasn’t long after touring USAO’s campus that Hillary Brown decided it was the school for her — and that she wanted to continue to pursue softball in college.
“We both fell in love with the school because it’s small and it’s a nice atmosphere,” Brown said of she and her mother.
The now senior starter averages .311 at bat and has hit 14 RBIs and scored nine runs for USAO this season.
But Brown is also serious about her academics. The psychology major is minoring in history and was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete last year.
“I took psychology in high school and it was probably the most interesting class I took…,” she said. “And I just fell in love with it.”
Brown expects to graduate later this month and plans to look for a psychology job in the Oklahoma City area. She’s also planning upcoming nuptials with Drover baseball player Josh Moore in July.
