After focusing on school and softball at USAO for four years, Senior Michelle Bauer’s time as a Drover is limited.
Last year, Bauer was named an NAIA Academic All-American for her high GPA in addition to her time on the field.
“Between softball and homework, there’s really not a lot of time for anything else,” she said.
The Lady Drovers have a new head coach this year, which is something Bauer said is a refreshing change.
“It’s a lot more relaxed,” she said. “She knows a lot, and it’s nice to have somebody new, a new perspective on things.”
Despite graduation in a month, Bauer, who hails from British Columbia, isn’t quite ready to leave the area.
Bauer is applying for an extension on her visa that would allow her to work for a year in the United States.
