The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma softball team kept its mid-season surge alive with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Bacone College Friday night in Chickasha. The Drovers were 10-0 and 5-1 winners and improved to 15-12 overall and evened their Sooner Athletic Conference mark at 4-4.

USAO continued to test itself against some of the top softball teams in the NAIA as the Drovers welcomed Sooner Athletic Conference rival St. Gregory’s University for a doubleheader Thursday night in Chickasha. The Drovers lost 7-1 in the opener and fell 2-1 in the nightcap.
The University of Science and Arts evened its 2016 softball record by winning three-of-four games in a tournament they hosted Friday and Saturday. USAO was 7-4 winners against Tabor, 1-0 winners against Hastings and 6-3 winners against Friends University. Hastings beat USAO 6-5 in the final game of the tournament.
The 2016 softball season for the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma opened Tuesday as the Drovers tested themselves on the road against an Oklahoma Christian that had already played seven games this spring. The untested Drovers were beaten 8-0 and 9-8 in the doubleheader. The Eagles improved to 4-5 with the sweep.

The Drovers, under the leadership of Coach Jadyn Wallis, received 305 points to finish just outside the top 10.
