CHICKASHA – Three Drovers scored in the double figures on Thursday night against the No. 1 Oklahoma City Stars but ultimately couldn’t overcome the powerful offense.
The Drovers (10-13, 1-3) jumped off to a 3-2 lead early on but once the Stars got back in control, they led the remainder of the game and won 104-58. OCU (20-2, 12-0) hasn’t lost a game since November.
Rocio Medrano led the Drovers in scoring with 12 points off four buckets and three free throws.
Krista Ford followed with 11 points — also scoring four baskets on Thursday night. She also had two steals. Celeste Smith scored her season high of 10 points after knocking in three treys.
Tashina Ototivo led the team in rebounds with eight. She also had six points and three assists.
USAO travels to Rogers State for an afternoon game on Saturday before playing Saint Gregory’s on Thursday. Their final home game will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 16. It will be Senior Day.
The Drovers donned their pink uniforms in the game, celebrating the third annual Pink Out Cancer night at the USAO Fieldhouse.
Drovers Against Cancer sponsored the game and raffled off the players’ signed warm up shirts.
