CHICKASHA – The Drover women will be competing in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament for the first time since 2009.

The Drovers (10-18) will face eighth-seeded Mid-America Christian (13-14) in a play-in game on at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Oklahoma Baptist is hosting the tournament, and all games will be played at OBU’s Noble Complex.

The winning team will then on go to play top-seed Oklahoma City at 2:15 p.m. Thursday.

The MACU Evangels have had the Drovers number in both meetings this season, but at home just more than a week ago, the USAO forced the game into overtime before falling by just one point.

In that game, senior Krista Ford had 19 points while Paige Pulliam had 11. Sarah Martin, who also had 19 points, led the Evangels.

In January at Mid-America Christian, the Drovers couldn’t get any players into the double digits, but Ndeye Ngom led the team with nine points. MACU’s Kourtni Williams had 17.

Admission tickets to the tournament will be $5 for students and $10 for adults.
