Despite playing tough Saturday night, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams were defeated by Oklahoma Christian University.

Brooke Smith had one of her best games Saturday, racking up 10 points and five rebounds for the Lady Drovers. Charitie Lewis scored 11 points for the Drovers and led in rebounds also with 11.

USAO had 30 turnovers and only six steals. The final score was 65-58.

The Drover men were defeated by fourth ranked OC with a final score of 75-50.

Thomas Peters gave the Drovers their most points, hitting five field goals, one three-pointer and five of his six free throw attempts. Both N’Faly Berete and Anthony Turner had eight rebounds in the game.

Both teams play at home again Monday against Southern Nazarene University. The women’s game tips off at 6 p.m., with the men following at 8 p.m.
