BETHANY – At the second event of 2013 season sophomore Deborah Park sets her personal record and finished ninth at OCU Fall Classic in Bethany on Saturday.

Drover cross country team finished in second place to Oklahoma City University, and had two runners in the top 10 at the race.

Every Drover runner improved on their previous meet time by an average of two minutes.

Park finished with a time of 21:31.99, which bested her previous mark set last season by seven seconds. Park finished in ninth last year at the same race, but managed to come in three and a half minutes quicker than last year.

The other top 10 finisher for the Drovers was freshman Kylie Parker, who came in with a time of 21:56.30, which was good for a 10th place finish at the event. Parker, who is a newcomer to the Drovers also improved on her time from the first meet of the year. Her previous best was 24:50.46, which she earned at the UCO Land Run earlier this month.

The other Drover runners came in together to place 12-17 in the OCU Fall Classic to help the Drovers as a whole come in with a time of 1:55:45.36 for an average of 23:09.08.

The Drovers next meet will take place at 8 a.m. on Sept. 28 in Stillwater for the annual Cowboy Jamboree.
