For the second consecutive week, the NAIA ranked the women’s soccer team at University of Science and Arts in the Top 25, falling behind Trinity Christian College, of Illinois, by only four votes.
When the women first hit the Top 25 last week at 21, it was the first time in history the Drover women had been ranked, Coach Jimmy Hampton said.
The team dropped to 22 this week after not playing last week. The game against Oklahoma Baptist University was postponed until November because of rain.
When NAIA ranked teams by conference on Monday, USAO women were ranked No. 1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Drover women are 8-3 in the season.
The men’s soccer team, at 10-1, are just outside the Top 25. Only 14 votes separate the USAO from a Top 25 standing. The team is ranked No. 2 in the conference.
Both teams face Saint Gregory’s on Friday afternoon at Drover Pitch. The women kick off at 1 p.m., and the men follow at 3 p.m.
