CHICKASHA – The Drovers battled tough against the Wayland Baptist Pioneers, pulling off a late win Thursday afternoon.

The women fought a tough game, dominating in shots (22-8) but battling for a goal. The game went scoreless for 75 minutes before Leslie Bross scored USAO’s only goal of the game off an assist by Taylor Fain.

Sophomore Addie Tipton had six saves in the game and earned her sixth shutout of the season.

The USAO women hold strong at 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The Drovers will take on Lubbock Christian in their next home game scheduled for Saturday. Kick off at 1 p.m.

That game will be USAO soccer’s first ever Pink Game, where players and fans alike will wear pink for cancer awareness. USAO’s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer will be selling hot dogs, Frito chili pies and drinks beginning at noon on Saturday.
