CHICKASHA– After a week of Drover dominance, Jade Ovendale has won her second Sooner Athletic Conference women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week of the season.

Ovendale continued her scoring success of the 2013 season with five goals and one assist in the award week of Oct. 21-27. Including in the five-goal week was her second hat trick of the season against Southwestern Christian, which she scored all goals in the first half.

Ovendale previously won SAC Offensive Player of the Week two weeks ago after scoring four goals and one assist in the week.

In 13 games started and played for the Drovers, Ovendale has 15 goals and five assists on the year and four multiple goal games in the year.

She also claims all four game winning goals for the Drovers this year.

SAC Player of the Week candidates are nominated by their schools and voted on by a small committee composed of conference Sports Information Directors.

Ovendale ranks No. 15 in the NAIA with shots per game at an average of 5.7 shots per game. She also comes in at No. 14 in game winning goals per game with an .310 average on the year.

Ovendale, a junior from Wisbech, England, joined the Drovers this season after two years at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.

She is a physical education junior and the daughter of Tracey Ovendale.
