CHICKASHA – After recording 24 saves in two games, Addie Lee was named the first Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week of the 2013 season.

In an away series over the weekend, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Drovers found themselves in overtime twice. Lee recorded more than 200 minutes in the box.

In the second game of the season, Lee had 15 saves to force the game into overtime. The Drovers went 0-2 on the weekend.

She is seventh in the NAIA in saves per game with an average of 12 and 13th in total saves.

Lee, who played for the Drovers in 2011 before transferring to the University of Tulsa for a year, rejoined the team this season and returned to her spot as starting goalkeeper. She was formerly Addie Tipton.

Lee will add to her saves total on Thursday during the Drovers’ home opener against UT-Brownsville. Kick off is schedule for 1 p.m. Sept. 5 at Drover Pitch.
