The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Music Department will present a holiday concert on Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Te Ata Memorial Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public.
The USAO Music Department will present a homecoming music recital in the USAO Alumni Chapel. The recital will feature a number of current music students and music alumni.
The program will highlight three concerti performed by seniors Garrett Stancil, trumpet, Nick Curtis, clarinet and Natalie Farmer, alto saxophone. Returning alumni Shane Harris, guitarist/vocalist, and Cynthia Cunningham, soprano, will also perform. Denise Kimball, sophomore music education major, will perform the Raindrop Prelude by Chopin.
University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma assistant professor of music, Kate Sekula and Oklahoma Baptist University associate professor of music, Michael Dean, will present a unique collaborative recital on both campuses.
The recital performance will be presented on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the USAO Alumni Chapel in Chickasha and again on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the OBU Raley Chapel in Shawnee.
Both performances are set for 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
