Chickasha Community

Join us in this year's Drover Difference Day where students, faculty and staff will spend the day volunteering throughout Chickasha in conjunction with various community organizations. In the past, these have included Ross Health Care, Chickasha Police Department, City of Chickasha, Resurrection House, YMCA, Grady County Historical Society, and more.

Gaiman got his start in journalism but found his first successes writing comics including his most-celebrated work on The Sandman. Gaiman’s career as a novelist took off with American Gods (2000), which won numerous awards including a Hugo for Best Novel. His follow-up book, Anansi Boys (2005) debuted at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list. Gaiman is a highly sought-after public speaker and a new media celebrity.
