where did she come from?
the sunlight kissed her soft red cheeks
as she danced around the front yard
her snow white dress grazed the dirt
as it moved effortlessly about her frail body
why is she back?
she looks just as i had always remembered her
yet somehow older, perhaps as old as me
as if her spirit continued to grow and mature
though she was but a girl when she left us
