Biography
Kelli Monroe is the Director of Student Success at USAO working to help oversee the Student Success Center. Kelli was awarded her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship in 2012 and received the highest student honor in her area of study. She continued her education completing her M.B.A. in 2014, while working for an Oklahoma-based construction company. After graduation, she followed her love for learning to pursue a career in higher education.
In 2014, Kelli joined the University as an Admissions Counselor in the Admissions and Recruitment Office, where she remained until transitioning into her current role in 2016. Kelli's office is located inside the Student Success Center on the 3rd floor of Nash Library. The Student Success Center serves as the primary hub for academic support services on campus and houses USAO's peer tutoring labs in Math, Science, English and Interdisciplinary Studies, academic mentoring, weekly study groups, midterm and final exam events, open study space, and its own private classroom.
Kelli is passionate about providing opportunities through higher education and hopes to encourage students to overcome barriers in their lives to complete their degrees. Her professional areas of interest include resources and support for first-generation college students, academic recovery strategies, and holistic advising.
When she is not working, Kelli enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with her family and friends, seeing films, and winning board games.
