Biography
Makenna Garrison serves as the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University
of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Before joining USAO, she held leadership and administrative
roles at several Oklahoma institutions of higher education, including Oklahoma City
Community College, Connors State College, Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City,
and the University of Oklahoma.
Throughout her career, Makenna has worked in academic affairs and student affairs.
She is deeply committed to advancing higher education in Oklahoma and creating opportunities
that support student success and lifelong learning.
An advocate for her state and community, Makenna values the opportunity to live and
work in Oklahoma. She is passionate about investing in her family, serving her community,
and actively participating in her church.
Makenna earned her master’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and her
bachelor’s degree and doctoral degree from the University of Oklahoma.
