Biography
A proud graduate of Chickasha High School and the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Shelby Hurst was born and raised in Chickasha and has remained deeply rooted in the community ever since. He brings more than a decade of experience in business development and relationship-building, most recently serving as Business Development Manager for HSI Sensing from 2015 to 2025.
Shelby has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 14 years, and together they are raising two children, Walker (10) and Ellie (8), who are proud to be Fightin’ Chicks. Deeply involved in the community, he serves as a deacon at First Baptist Church, sits on the Chickasha Public Library Board, and is part of the leadership team for Chickasha Young Professionals.
In his free time, Shelby enjoys thrifting, renovation projects, and photography.
As USAO’s Director of Development, Shelby is passionate about building lasting relationships, fostering a culture of philanthropy, and helping ensure the university continues to thrive for future generations of Drovers.
