The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma exceeded its annual fundraising goal of $2 million, raising a record-breaking $2,266,165. This remarkable achievement reflects the collective effort and generous support from the entire university community.

The funds raised will support a variety of initiatives across campus, including student scholarships, faculty development and research opportunities, campus infrastructure improvements, athletics, and innovative teaching methods and technology.

“We appreciate the generosity of our donors,” said JP Audas, senior vice president for external relations and executive director of the USAO Foundation. "This level of support underscores the commitment of our alumni, friends and partners to our mission of educating the next generation of leaders."

The institution also saw a significant increase in grant funding, which rose by 310 percent. Additionally, the number of gifts and donors increased by nine percent and four percent, respectively, highlighting the growing support from the university community and its benefactors. Overall, funds raised increased by 59 percent compared to the previous year.

“This record-breaking fundraising year is a testament to the strong sense of community and shared purpose at USAO,” said Audas. “The increase in grant funding and overall participation highlights a deep-seated belief in the institution’s mission and future.”

More than half of the funds raised were allocated to scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year, providing essential financial assistance to students.

Significant contributions include a gift of $64,000 to support the Neill Wint Center for Neurodiversity and the university’s greatest need, as well as a $43,000 gift in support of two endowed scholarships and the faculty development fund.
