The NAIA recently announced that No. 5 ranked University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (44-7, 28-4 SAC) will once again be a host for the 2022 NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round May 16-18.

The selection of each site was made in part by the NAIA Softball National Championship Selection Committee. The committee is comprised of head coaches and administrators from around the nation. Selections take into account geography, facilities and host qualification.

Each of the 10 opening round sites will feature four teams and the format will be double elimination. The winner of each will advance to the NAIA Softball World Series in Columbus, Ga., beginning on May 27.

The Drovers hosted the Opening Round at Bill Smith Ballpark for the first time in 2021.
