Alumni Association Receives Grant from Arvest Foundation


Representatives from Alumni Association and Arvest Foundation Exchange Grant Check

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma’s Alumni Association has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Arvest Foundation.

The Grant funding is designated to support various campus events and improvements, such as renovations and updates, sponsored projects, and other keys events such as Founder’s day, graduation, and homecoming.

Whitney Palesano, Director of Alumni Relations and University Development, expressed enthusiasm for the grant, stating “We are thrilled to be selected as a recipient of this grant from the Arvest Foundation… This partnership will allow us to create a more welcoming environment and strengthen connections with our community. We look forward to enhancing the experience for all who visit our campus.”

Arvest Bank representatives, including Karene Sandra, community bank president for Arvest in Chickasha, presented the check on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to USAO officials. Kayla Hale, USAO President, and Shelby Hurst, Director of Development, were among Palesano to receive the donation.

“We recognize the vital role USAO plays within our community and are extremely happy to support your efforts as you continue to create enriching educational and cultural experiences for all who visit your campus and community.”  Said Sandra, emphasizing on the importance of the Alumni Association.
