Baseball team wins trip to NAIA World Series


The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma earned qualification for the NAIA World Series with an 18-2 wipeout of Tabor College to win the Hutchinson, Kan. regional. The Drovers smashed their three tournament opponents by a combined score 45-3 taking out nationally-ranked Wayland Baptist, upstart Morningside Iowa and the host team, No. 12 Tabor.

USAO will be one of 10 teams that will compete for the NAIA National Tournament in Lewiston, Idaho beginning Thursday, May 26. The bracket and the remainder of the field will be announced by the national office Friday night once the remaining regionals complete.
