Ninety-five students from high schools around the state competed at Innovations, an annual high school art competition held at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma.

USAO’s art faculty assessed 158 entries to assign 31 awards of merit, 5 judges’ choice awards and one award for best in show.

This year’s Best in Show prize was awarded to Trevor Percival from Alva for his original pottery work titled, “White Tail”.

“I am always excited to see the artwork of these young artists. They never disappoint," said Knapp, "This year, the variety of media, excellent production, presentation, and originality greatly impressed the art faculty. We loved the creativity and expression of ideas."

The awards, which were given out March 15 in a ceremony held on campus, featured work submitted from 12 different schools. Cash awards were giving to best in show, and judges’ choice awards. The show was judged by USAO art faculty.
