Road closures during USAO Move-In Day

To ensure a smooth and safe move-in process for new students, their families and staff at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma, the northbound lane of 17th Street at Grand Avenue through the USAO campus will be closed to all non-university traffic from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.
The southbound lane will remain open; however, drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution due to increased pedestrian activity and are advised to consider alternate routes during this time.
“We appreciate the cooperation and flexibility of our campus community as we welcome our new Drovers,” said Dawn Brockman, dean of students. “Safety is our top priority, and these measures are necessary to facilitate a smooth move-in day experience.”
The closures have been carefully coordinated and confirmed in partnership with the Chickasha City Council, City of Chickasha, Chickasha Public Schools and Chickasha Emergency Services to minimize disruption and ensure safety for all.
