When you first arrive on campus, head to the Troutt Hall Lobby (2nd floor).
We will check you in and inform you if there are any last minute room changes for the exams. Students must properly code their answer sheet with all of the requested information, including both their name and the correct school code, using a #2 pencil. Mistakes must be erased completely. Answer sheets that are filled out incorrectly or that are missing information cannot be scored.
A Sponsors' Brunch is provided in the USAO Ballroom in the Student Center at 9:30 a.m. Please include the number of sponsors attending the brunch on the registration form. This event is for academic sponsors of participants including faculty, staff and administrators and takes place during the exams.
On the day of the event, there are a variety of meal options for students and other visitors. The USAO cafeteria features an all you can eat buffet. There is a salad bar, deli sandwich station, pizza and a hot entrée. The cost is $7.00 with tax included. The on-campus coffee shop, The Daily Grind, is located in the Lawson Clubhouse and proudly serves Starbucks coffee. Finally, there are a variety of vendors selling food, drinks and desserts outside. Some of the vendors sell food as a fundraising activity for their organizations.
An awards ceremony will take place after all the contests conclude. We hope your school is able to attend so contest winners can be recognized by their peers. The awards ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
Medals are awarded for the top three places in each contest by division. School trophies are awarded to the top school in each division. The top school in each division is determined using the points accumulated by the top three finishers in each contest.
Please make every effort to pick up your awards at the awards ceremony. An effort will be made to send awards that are NOT picked up at the awards ceremony to the appropriate party, but we cannot guarantee awards will be mailed. A summary of the placement of all of your students in the competition will be sent to the e-mail address provided at registration several weeks after the event.
