Get Ready for the 26th Season of DWPAS

For the 26th season of the Davis Waldorf Performing Arts Series, The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is pleased to announce its very unique lineup of musicians, storytellers, and dancers. The Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series is a collection of events that aims to provide accessible entertainment for college students and the surrounding community. The series operates as part of the USAO Foundation; and as a grant recipient of the Oklahoma Arts Council.

On October 8th, 2026, the season begins with Störling Dance Theatre - A professional modern dance company that blends neoclassicism with “the power of story”.  Based in the Kansas City area, the ensemble is widely recognized for its original productions, such as Underground – a critically acclaimed annual performance honoring the spirit and history of the Underground Railroad.

November 12th, 2026, brings us to Accidental Hero: Patrick Dewane. Accidental Hero: Patrick Dewane is a multi-media one-man show that centers on the events of his grandfather, Matt Konop, and his time as an American officer during WWII. Dewane retells the story of Konop liberating Czech villages through a personal lens, using it to narrate themes of identity, heroism, and fate.

With their three-part harmony inspired by the Great American Songbook, classic Broadway, 1950s pop, and big-band jazz, New York City based trio America’s Sweethearts come to USAO on February 18th, 2027.  This singing group channels the nostalgia of vintage acts to bring a vibrant, high-energy slice of old-fashioned fun to theatres, air shows, and veteran honor spaces nationwide.

Finally, Lee Rocker will end the 26th season of the Davis Waldorf Performing Arts Series on March 11th, 2027. As a founding member of the Grammy-nominated group The Stray Cats, the Hall of Fame upright bassist helped ignite a massive rockabilly revival in the 1980s. Known for his show-stopping stage presence – spinning, throwing, and standing on his giant double bass – his lengthy career includes selling 10 million albums and performing live on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show, and alongside icons like George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and John Fogerty.

Single tickets are $25 per show. USAO Students can register to subscribe to the series for free.
