Biography
Tony Hutchison is the Executive Director of the Division of Professional Studies at USAO. He is experienced in economic development and workforce issues in Oklahoma and brings that experience to USAO and the new Professional Studies Division.
He previously served as Senior Vice Chancellor for Strategic Planning and Workforce at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and as a member of the Governor’s State Workforce Council. Prior to that he was involved in numerous education and economic development initiatives as Oklahoma Director of State Finance, Economic Advisor and COO of the Oklahoma Senate Staff, Director of an International political and economic development project in Washington D.C. and as a Senior Staff Member of the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Tony has taught American National Government at the University of Oklahoma and holds a Master of Public Administration from OU as well as a B.A. with Special Distinction in History from O.U. He was selected for the Horace C. Peterson Award as Outstanding history graduate and for Phi Beta Kappa.
