Two artists – both accomplished in other endeavors – will join their best efforts to produce a new art exhibition entitled “LA LA,” which is open now through Sept. 25 at USAO.

Students Laura Parker and Lacey Nowell have put together a senior art show to showcase their graphic designs focusing on things from nature to personal nostalgia. Both have completed the bachelor of fine arts degree this summer at USAO.

Parker, a senior art major with a graphic design emphasis from Oklahoma City, will be focusing on nature and animals. Laura first came to USAO to play soccer and pursue a degree in art. Laura is a member of the President’s Leadership Council, USAO soccer team, Art Club, Ambassadors, and Student Activities Board. Laura is a Bill Smith Scholar Athlete, member of Hypatia, two times NAIA Scholar Athlete, and member of Who’s Who. She hopes to have a career in graphic arts. Laura is the daughter of Dennis and Susan Parker.

Lacey Nowell, senior art major with design emphasis from Sawyer, will be focusing on what she calls, “personal nostalgia.” Lacey came to USAO on the PLC scholarship to pursue a bachelor of fine arts degree in art. Lacey is a member of PLC, Student Government, Art Club, Student Activities Board, Ambassadors, and Who’s Who. Lacey hopes to obtain a career in the art world. She is the daughter of Annette and Billy Nowell.
