Annie Roberts promoted to director of student life at USAO

Annie Roberts has been promoted to director of student life at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. Roberts has been employed by USAO since 2019 and has built their entire career within the walls of USAO.

"I'm thrilled for the opportunity to step into this role," Roberts said. "USAO is my home, and helping students find success and community is my passion. I look forward to furthering the Drover legacy through student life for many years to come."

Roberts has served USAO in several roles including admissions counselor, coordinator of campus events and first-year retention and, most recently, student life and housing coordinator.

Roberts has been instrumental in enhancing key student programs. In 2021, Roberts worked with the USAO orientation team to update new student orientation into a more well-rounded and engaging event. They also spearheaded the revitalization of Droverstock 2024, blending tradition with new ideas to attract one of the largest audiences in recent years. Additionally, under Robert’s guidance, the Student Activities Board has expanded its offerings to bring more vibrant and inclusive events to campus.

Roberts will continue to oversee Robertson Hall, the Student Activities Board, and serve as advisor to the Student Government Association. Roberts will also manage the NOBS Wellness Center and oversee facilities requests.

Roberts will report directly to Dawn Reitan-Brockman, dean of students, and collaborate closely with Dr. Delton Gordon, housing operations director. 

Moving forward, Roberts aims to update the Drover Den and restructure campus clubs and organizations to create a more collaborative and engaging student life experience.
