The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma invites high school students to get ahead in college through concurrent enrollment at USAO. Students can save time and money by earning college credits before graduating high school.

Applying is easy! Students can submit their application online at usao.edu/apply.

Financial barriers are minimized thanks to tuition waivers that cover up to 18 credit hours for eligible seniors and nine credit hours for eligible juniors. Plus, student fees are waived. Online and in-person classes are available. Course credits are completely transferable, staying with students wherever they choose to go.

"USAO prepares students for the real world," said Sheppard McConnell, vice president for enrollment management and student life. "Our concurrent enrollment program fosters a foundation for success, no matter where a student's journey takes them."

Students must complete the online admission application and submit official high school transcripts, official ACT/SAT scores and High School Concurrent Enrollment Verification Form through the admissions portal. Once the student is admitted, they will be contacted for enrollment.

Mason Alldredge, double major in vocal music education and piano performance at USAO, took concurrent enrollment when he was in high school.

“Concurrent enrollment was really beneficial to my college experience,” said Alldredge. “It was just enough to challenge me and help me understand the difference between high school and college and prepare me for the workload and quality expected at college. I was able to get involved with online discussions and learn how to communicate with professors. If you’re a sophomore in high school, you should explore concurrent enrollment with your counselor.”
