The finale of the 23rd season of the acclaimed Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series will be presented on March 28. The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma will welcome back The Cleverlys, presenting their unique blend of comedy and blue-grass music inspired by contemporary hit songs, at 7:30 p.m. in Te Ata Memorial Auditorium.

Austin’s BBQ food truck will be in front of Troutt Hall from 5 p.m. until the doors for the show open at 7 p.m. for those who would like to get dinner before the show.

Tickets for the performance cost $20 for the public and are available at usao.edu/dwpas. Tickets for K-12 students are available free of charge, thanks to continued support of the educational outreach mission of this series from the Chickasha Public Schools Foundation.

“We love being able to invite artists to return to campus,” said Katie Davis, professor of theatre and executive director of the DWPAS. “This group performed at USAO in 2016, and everyone raved about them. Since then, they’ve performed in Branson, at the Grand Ole Opry, and at blue-grass festivals across the nation. They have a family-friendly blend of “Hee Haw” style humor with world-class musical skills.”

Formed in 2009 by Arkansas native Paul Harris, AKA Digger Cleverly, this faux-family band puts their unique bluegrass spin on hit songs of every style and genre. The New York Times wrote, “If Earl Scruggs, Dolly Parton, and Spinal Tap spawned a litter of puppies, it would be the Cleverlys.”
