Elizabeth Sellers Senior Recital Scheduled March 27

Student Elizabeth Sellers will take the stage for the last time at USAO as a student as she presents her senior recital March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumni Chapel. The performance is free and the public is invited.

"It is sad to leave USAO and all of the people that have helped me through these last four years," Sellers said. "Doing a senior vocal recital is like taking a bow and realizing that the college experience is almost over. It is nerve-wracking and exciting all at the same time."

The recital will include Italian, French, German and English art songs, music theater, jazz and more.

Sellers is a vocal performance major and is scheduled to graduate in April. She graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa. While at USAO, she was a member of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and the USAO Concert Choir. She was president of the African-American Association, secretary of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and a member of the University of Musicians Club and Spectators Club.

She was a featured performer in several of the Festivals of Music and Ideas at the university. She was named to the ACDA Collegiate Honor Choir and Oklahoma All-State Choir. Sellers was also a cast member of Studio 18 -- an award-winning comedy show on USAO’s cable channel 18.

Sellers plans to attend law school after graduation. All music majors at USAO must present a senior recital before graduating.
