Chocolate lovers who come out this Saturday night in support of the USAO Staff Association’s scholarship fundraiser could help the project earn a $500 matching gift from the USAO Foundation, it was announced Thursday. Executive Director Alan Proctor, left, confirmed the offer of $500 to match the first $500 raised by the group.

 

Guests at the event will get to sample more than 60 delectable recipes – all created with chocolate. Tickets to “Hot Chocolate-Cool Jazz” are $10 for adults and $5 for pre-college youth at the door. The 7 p.m. event is scheduled in the USAO Student Center Ballroom on Aug. 14. Live music is featured. Offering chocolate-dipped strawberries is USAO Staff Association President Laura Harrison.
