Prom is a rite of passage for many young women in the United States but, as any parent can attest, it can be a source of great stress to families who are struggling economically.

To help put all the fun back in Prom, the USAO Ambassadors are hosting the second annual USAO Prom Boutique.  The event is scheduled for Sunday from 12-6 p.m. in the Stevens Alumni House, located at the northeast corner of 17th and Grand Avenue on the campus of the University of Science and Arts.

The Ambassadors have more than 100 prom dresses in a variety of sizes available for young women in the community at no cost. There will be volunteers on hand to serve as fitting room attendants.

Marcie Price, admissions counselor, said that, “We have collected so many dresses over the last two years that we have an amazing selection of gowns from which to choose.

“We hope that we can find a home for every one of them.”
