ABOUT US

Gracing the sidelines at basketball games and promoting Drover spirit are USAO's own Drover Dancers. Drover Dancers perform during halftimes, timeouts and on the sidelines during the games. Led by Emily Hector Godwin, the Drover Dancers continue to be the face of Drover Spirit at USAO. The Drover Dancers tryouts are held every fall and they receive tuition waivers. They also participate in various community events including Droverthon and Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Godwin has coached the Drover Dancers for 10 seasons and holds a Master of Arts in Dance Education. She is also an adjunct professor for both physical education and theater arts at USAO. Godwin also owns Love to Dance Studio in Chickasha. When not teaching dance she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Drew and two sons, Trent and Garrett.
