The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma will host the 34th Annual USAO Scholastic Meet on Thursday, April 3, 2014. The USAO Scholastic Meet is part of the University’s Spring Triad and is held in conjunction with the Montmartre Chalk Art Festival and the Droverstock music festival. The Scholastic Meet Contests cover material from typical school courses including business, language and literature, mathematics, science, social science, music, art and theatre.
An award assembly follows the contests, and we hope your school attends so that contest winners can be recognized by their peers. Awards are given for the first five places in each contest, and trophies are given to the top three schools based on points accumulated by the top five finishers in each contest. About 900 students from 39 schools competed in USAO Scholastic Meet in 2013.
Here are the top schools:
3rd: Pauls Valley
Honorable Mention: Navajo
In addition to the competition, a Sponsors' Brunch will be provided at 9:30 a.m. in the USAO Ballroom in the Student Center. This event is for academic sponsors of participants, including faculty, staff and administrators, and takes place during the exams.
