Area softball players will have the opportunity to receive professional instruction from Drover softball coaches and players in this two-day long camp at USAO! During the camp, athletes will focus on fundamentals and mechanics of all aspects of the game. This includes hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, base running as well as the mental part of softball.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 22 and 23 at USAO’s Bill Smith Ballpark. There will be a one-hour break for a sack lunch.
Instructors, including USAO Head Coach Jadyn Wallis, Assistant Coach Ken Richardson and current and former members of USAO’s softball team, will work individually with each camper to help her achieve greatness. Additionally, an athletic trainer will be on site both days of the camp.
The registration for the camp, open to athletes ages 8 to 18, is $70, with team discounts available. Early registration will ensure a place in this year’s camp. To register, please download the camp brochure and fill out the registration form.
Campers should plan to bring a sack lunch, a glove and a batting helmet; a bat is an optional choice. They should wear proper softball attire, including a t-shirt, ball pants or shorts and cleats.
