Welcome to the New USAO Parking Enforcement System
USAO has transitioned to the T2 Parking Enforcement platform to make campus parking registration and enforcement easier and more efficient. Under the new system, hang tags and windshield stickers are no longer required. Parking permits are now electronically connected to your vehicle’s license plate, and license plates are used to verify parking authorization.
Register Your Vehicle
All vehicles parked on the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma campus must have a valid USAO parking permit, with the exception of vehicles properly parked in designated Visitor Parking or Disabled Person Parking spaces.
Student permits: $50 per permit (Housing or Multi-Use Parking)
Faculty/Staff permits: Free
Parking permits and vehicle registration are available online through the USAO T2
Parking Portal:
Register for or Manage Your USAO Parking Permit
Students must obtain a valid parking permit by the second week of classes each semester. Vehicle registration requires the vehicle’s make, model, year, color, and license plate number.
faculty & staff parking
All employees who park personal vehicles on campus are required to register their vehicles and maintain a valid Faculty/Staff parking permit.
Faculty/Staff permits are free and are valid in designated Faculty/Staff parking areas. Employee permits may be obtained through the USAO T2 Parking Portal:
Faculty/Staff Parking Permit Portal
Motorcycles
Motorcycles may park in any designated parking space but must have a valid USAO parking permit.
Disabled Person Parking
Vehicles parked in designated Disabled Person Parking spaces must display valid state-issued disabled person identification at all times. A USAO parking permit does not replace the requirement for valid state-issued disabled person identification.
Important Parking Information
A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space. The responsibility for finding a legal parking space rests with the operator of the vehicle. Lack of space is not an excuse for illegal parking.
Vehicles must be parked completely within designated parking boundaries and may not overlap a roadway, crosswalk, sidewalk, curb cut, or another parking space. The fact that another vehicle is parked improperly does not authorize additional vehicles to park improperly.
All vehicles remaining for more than 15 minutes in a loading zone may be cited.
Parking or loitering on campus after 11:00 p.m. or after special events is prohibited unless otherwise authorized by the university.
Visitor Parking
Visitors may obtain a free visitor pass from Student Services. Visitors without a pass may park only in designated Visitor Parking Only spaces, including the visitor spaces located outside Troutt Hall and Lawson Court Apartments.
Unrestricted visitor parking may be permitted during Homecoming, Family Weekend, and other designated university functions.
Visitor spaces are reserved for bona fide visitors and may not be used by students, faculty, staff, or other members of the University community.
Temporary Parking Permits
Temporary parking permits are available at no cost through Student Services for students, faculty, and staff who need to use a vehicle temporarily—for example, when a registered vehicle is being repaired or has been involved in an accident. Temporary permits are time-limited and must be used in accordance with the conditions issued with the permit.
Open Parking Hours
For non-housing parking spaces, open parking hours are:
- 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily
- 4:00 p.m. Friday through 7:00 a.m. Monday
- School holidays are considered open-parking days.
Open parking does not apply to:
- No Parking zones
- Loading zones
- Visitor zones
- Disabled Person Parking spaces
- Other specially designated or restricted areas
Parking Enforcement
The USAO campus is patrolled 24 hours a day, seven days a week by uniformed security personnel. Security personnel are authorized to enforce university parking policies and procedures.
Parking enforcement is subject to review through the Traffic Appeals Committee, as established under the authority of the Board of Regents.
All members of the university community are responsible for knowing and following USAO parking regulations. Vehicles may be cited, towed, or subject to additional enforcement for violations.

Your Responsibility
The university considers parking on campus a privilege, not a right. Permit holders are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle information and license plate number remain accurate and current in the T2 system. If you change vehicles or license plates during the term of your permit, you must update your vehicle information before parking the new vehicle on campus.
Repeated or serious parking violations may result in additional penalties, towing, loss of parking privileges, or a permanent vehicle ban from campus.
When parking at USAO, please remember: Register your vehicle. Park legally. Follow posted signs. Keep your vehicle information current.
